How does the HALTER LoadAssistant work?

The HALTER LoadAssistant® is a robotic system for automatic loading of your CNC machine. The CNC robot can be connected to any new or existing CNC lathe or milling machine and easily moved from one machine to another.

Automatic door opener

If your machine is not equipped with an automatic door, then it can still be equipped with a servo-controlled automatic door opener. You can also safely use this when you are not working with the robot.

Preparing a new series

Thanks to the rotating loading system, you can set up a new series during the production process. Only a minimal amount of floor space, including the safety zone, is required because the rotating loading table can be filled at the back.

Universal gripper system

Standard universal 2- or 3-finger grippers, suitable for round or rectangular workpieces. The jaws of the gripper are quickly adjustable so that setup for a new workpiece is reduced to a minimum.

All HALTER models have sensors on the grippers, which continuously check the status of the grippers to guarantee operational safety. The grippers are also provided with an air-blow cleaning system that blows the chuck or vise clean.

If your machine is not equipped with a robot interface, it can be installed by certified HALTER technicians, partly thanks to the special smart HALTER PLC interface.

Rotating loading system

Universal

Workpieces are loaded using universal, pre-programmed grid plates, which are suitable for turning and/or milling workpieces up to 230 mm. The height of the grid plates is adjustable, so that workpieces up to 250 mm high can be loaded. Thanks to the rotating loading table, a new series can be set up while the robot arm is working.

S-180

Stacking stations for all rectangular workpieces up to 180 mm offer high storage capacity on a small surface, for shorter workpieces. The HALTER measures the height of the stack itself and the robot knows exactly where the workpieces need to be picked up and put back.

S-230

Stacking stations for all round workpieces up to a diameter of 230 mm offer a high storage capacity on a small surface, for shorter workpieces. The HALTER measures the height of the stack itself and the robot knows exactly where the workpieces need to be picked up and put back.

HALTER SmartControl

No robotics experience is required for the HALTER SmartControl. The HALTER SmartControl is already completely pre-programmed, so that the operator only needs to enter a few parameters, such as the dimension of the workpiece. This means a new series can be started in a matter of minutes.

Easy to move from one CNC machine to another

The HALTER can easily be moved with a pallet truck and connected to another CNC machine in your workshop. With self-centering anchors, the system can be accurately positioned and the HALTER software recognizes the machine automatically. You are therefore able to use the Halter very flexibly with multiple machines.
